These unusual spectators inspired the name "Ratex," a nod to the potent poison used to deter them.

Fast forward to three years ago, and Ratex Gym embarked on a new chapter. The gym found a new home in the enchanting Crags of Plettenberg Bay, at a place called Lekkerkry Farm. Here, surrounded by lush forest, Ratex Gym thrives amidst nature's splendor, with two cozy cottages nestled nearby. The gym's unique location offers a daily spectacle of wild bushpigs, leopards, bushbucks, and honey badgers, blending the ruggedness of the wilderness with the rigor of intense training.
